Next to the Leigh Marine Reserve, on the Matakana Coast in Northland. Goat Island Camping, a mid budget motorcamp, come swim, snorkel or dive with the friendly fish.
Spend your days exploring and swimming, your nights relaxing around the campfire, having a barbeque or maybe a game of pool in our recreation hall.
We are a Kiwi owned and operated camping ground Set in 130 coastal acres, proud of what we offer - an affordable family fun camping holiday experience. Whether you are tenting, in a campervan or looking for a nice clean basic cabin or caravan to stay in for a few days, we can accommodate you at Goat Island Camping.

At the Campground
From the moment you turn into the entrance of our campground, off the Goat Island Road you become part of our camp, we want you to enjoy your stay. Drive on up the tree lined driveway, you will see there are many places to erect your tent or park your campervan.. check in and pick your spot or ask our advice, we do free range camping here!
Please feel free to book a tent site, campervan site, cabin, caravan or self contained motel style unit, (this would be advisable during the popular local holiday times)

No white lines marking your campsite .. No barrier arms .. No uniformed guards .. No grumpy campers.
Things to do places to see
Don't forget to pack them! They love the place and will be happy playing at being kids. You can keep a watch on them while chatting with other campers in the shade of an umbrella outside our hall / barbeque / kitchen area close to the sandpit and play area.

Just treat others as if they were your friends .. seems to work and makes for a very happy atmosphere which is the main reason we have families and groups that return every year.
